Wednesday Evening Movement Series
Wednesdays, September 29, 2010 - December 8, 2010 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
No Class November 24.
Qi Gong opens energy flow by eliminating blockages, rigidity, and disease in much the same way as acupuncture. Medical Qi Gong focuses on improving physical health and wellness. The intent of the 20 Yin-Yang Medical Qi Gong moves taught in this course is to balance the body by working with specific energetic pathways, or meridians. This is accomplished through gentle physical movements and synchronized breathing. The immune system is then stimulated to function at an optimum level so that participants have an increased level of qi and achieve a harmonious state with less pain and greater vigor. This form easily accommodates a beginner with limited flexibility as well as an advanced student.
Fee: $175 ($170 for early registration on or before September 24)
Instructor: Karl Ardo, M.F.A.
