Graduate Admissions Counselor
Full-time
Tai Sophia Institute is seeking a full-time Graduate Admissions Counselor. This position reports to the Director of Admissions.
Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to:
- Serve as the first point of contact and ambassador for all prospective students
- Develop a broad understanding of all graduate degree programs and other Institute offerings
- Respond to inquiries about academic programs
- Assist and track prospective students through all stages of the admissions process
- Process all application documents and regularly communicate application status
- Create and maintain prospective student and applicant records (significant data entry required)
- Coordinate, conduct, and attend on and off-campus recruitment events, including weekly visits, interviews, open houses, graduate fairs, and program related workshops
- Create admissions materials, including handouts, letters, forms, checklists, e-mail templates
- Coordinate activities and special projects related to enrollment
- Collaborate with other departments within the Institute to ensure an exceptional student experience
- Promote growth in graduate enrollment consistent with best practices in enrollment management and the mission, vision, and overall institutional strategic plan
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required

- Experience in admissions/enrollment management in a higher education setting – preferred; customer service or sales experience – desired.
- Ability to organize, plan, contribute ideas, and work cooperatively within a team.

Library Assistant – part time – Saturdays

Tai Sophia Institute is seeking a part-time Saturday Library Assistant. This position reports to the Library Manager and will serve Library users and support the Library team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to:
- Performing tasks required to maintain the collection (shelving, shelf-reading, book processing, etc.)
- Utilizing the circulation functions of the Follett library software system (check-in, check-out, holds, and others)
- Providing instruction to Library patrons on how to use the Library to obtain resources
- Answering ready-reference questions and referring complex reference or research questions to appropriate personnel
- Reliably staffing his/her assigned shift at the information/circulation desk
Qualifications
Required:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to train Library users in finding what they need
- Ability to hold confidential information
- Great attention to detail
- Prior library work experience is a plus, and not required
- Confidence using computer – MS Office and Follett integrated library system
Preferred:
- Demonstrated familiarity with the content of the Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, and Transformative Leadership and Social Change master’s programs, or the graduate certificate programs at Tai Sophia Institute, and the library resources that support those programs.

Director, Master of Arts in Transformative Leadership and Social Change and the Graduate Certificate in Transformative Leadership
Hours: Approximately 17.5/weekly

Tai Sophia Institute (www.tai.edu) is conducting a search for a unique individual to serve as Director, Master of Arts in Transformative Leadership and Social Change and the Graduate Certificate in Transformative Leadership programs. This individual will both serve as a leader of the current programs as well as a facilitator of a comprehensive review of these programs to assure that they are market-centered for the future. These programs teach the foundation of the philosophy of the Institute and are therefore instrumental as stand-alone programs and as support components in our other graduate programs.
Duties of the position include: faculty selection, evaluation and development; curriculum/course evaluation and development; budget management; student advising and recruiting; and alumni relationship building.
The successful candidate must have administrative experience in a college/university and/or faculty experience in higher education and must hold a master’s degree. Ideally s/he is an alumna or was/is a faculty in the program and would have a doctorate in a related area. Marketing experience and an entrepreneurial orientation are a plus.
