To meet the increasing need and demand for wellness-based education, Tai Sophia is offering the following five new graduate certificate programs in 2010:
Classes for the Graduate Certificate in Transformative Leadership began in January and applications are being accepted through February 15.
Classes for the coaching and herbal programs begin in mid-April.
What is a graduate certificate?
A graduate certificate, also known as a post-baccalaureate certificate (PBC), is a formal, graduate-level academic award. All of Tai Sophia’s new graduate certificate programs:
- are offered in executive weekend format to accommodate working professionals
- can be completed in 9 to 11 months, one weekend each month
- consist of 12 or 15 graduate-level academic credits
- are approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC)
In addition:
- Licensed professionals enrolled in Tai Sophia graduate certificate programs can earn contact hours or continuing education units (CEUs).
- Credits from Tai Sophia’s graduate certificate programs can be counted toward master’s degrees and other graduate-level programs.
- Tai Sophia’s creative scheduling allows students to be enrolled in more than one graduate certificate program at a time.
Why earn a graduate certificate?
A graduate certificate offers professionals and others seeking advanced education a quick way to enhance their current career, springboard to a new career, or apply new skills to their community, family and themselves.
