This ability not only includes comprehending, reading, and writing English, but specifically the ability to understand the nuances in the language and to speak effectively. Students who are non-native English speakers may be required to report scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the TOEFL Internet-based Test (IBT).
