Asian Bodywork Therapy (ABT) is one of the three branches of Chinese Medicine in which the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) certifies professional practitioners. Treatment may include touching, pressing or holding the body along meridians and/or on acupuncture points, gentle assisted stretching, and other techniques such as cupping, guasha, and moxibustion. Many techniques, including shiatsu, tuina, amma, and medical qigong, are considered forms of Asian Bodywork Therapy.
