This foundational instructor program prepares students to teach beginner and youth mixed martial arts classes while developing their own fundamental martial arts skills. Students receive instruction in fundamental striking, basic grappling, positional control, takedowns, and safe movement patterns, with emphasis on understanding techniques well enough to teach them clearly and responsibly.
Alongside technical fundamentals, the program focuses on instructional skills such as class organization, communication, risk management, and professional conduct in a gym environment. Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles such as assistant MMA instructor, youth instructor, or class support staff, and the program provides the foundational knowledge required for progression into Integrated MMA Systems. The program consists of 1,056 total hours, with students attending Monday through Thursday, beginning at 1:00 p.m., with daily end times varying, depending on the instructional schedule.
